How likely are you to recommend Boston Neurobehavioral Associates (BNBA)?
“I struggle to find much of anything nice to say about my experience at BNBA other than that they got me in fast. From the initial intake appointment, I felt my assigned psychiatrist was not a good fit. I saw Cassandra Pierre and found her affect to be flat and uncaring. I was warned by others not to expect the warmth of a therapist, but I genuinely felt like she was reading from a script during our appointments. I persisted a year because I was worried about the difficulties of changing providers, especially when I was so new to psychiatry. Just to name a few of the issues that arose during my time with BNBA: - appointment zoom links not sent, resulting in me having to frantically call around to figure out how to log onto my appointment - provider claimed she ordered a test but when I called to schedule, the admin team had no record of it. They ended up sending me a different test which my provider said she had "had no familiarity with" and had "never used before" but still insisted she could interpret my results - appointments cancelled by BNBA with little warning/notification - scheduling department was near useless whenever I had to call them, constantly transferring you to another line or just being rude on the phone I met with Cassandra nearly every month (unusually often and too frequently for my liking, which I mentioned but was not heard). Each visit was maybe a 3 minute phone call, during which time she ran through the basic medication follow-up questions. The one time I brought up medication side effects, she minimized my concerns and made an unsavory comment about adjusting lifestyle habits rather than medication. This was the final straw for me and I have now switched providers. On the plus side, it was very easy to cancel my final appointment and request my medical records be transferred. I don't know that every provider at BNBA is like this, but I would avoid Cassandra Pierre and not recommend BNBA simply due to their poor infrastructure.”
