What patients say on Google

“Unfortunately, my experience with this center has not reflected the values and mission that its name suggests. In my experience, there appears to be a lack of openness to patient concerns and feedback. Even reasonable criticism regarding the course of treatment or the conduct of certain providers may result in patients feeling ignored, dismissed, or effectively excluded from continuing their care. Interrupting or discontinuing psychiatric treatment is an extremely serious matter that requires professionalism, ethical responsibility, and meaningful communication. No patient should feel that expressing concerns or providing feedback places them at risk of losing access to appropriate medical care or forces them to search for another psychiatrist without adequate support or continuity of treatment. Experiences such as these help explain why many individuals are reluctant to seek mental health care or lose trust in the healthcare system altogether. Inadequate attention to patients' needs and concerns can have serious and, at times, devastating consequences for both patients and those around them. Mental health care is a field in which patient well-being, professional ethics, and quality of care should always take precedence. Patients deserve to be treated with respect and to receive care from providers and institutions that are accountable, receptive to feedback, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of professional practice. What is particularly troubling is that negative experiences of this nature can undermine the trust of vulnerable individuals and discourage them from seeking or continuing the treatment they need. That, in itself, is deeply concerning and profoundly disappointing. Even a one-star rating seems overly generous given my experience.”

“They don't have care nor understanding what their patients are going through. Plus if they want to wear masks then wear it but it seems like their faces are not gonna make anyone understand no one.”

“I am very disappointed. Two months ago I came in seeking a therapist. A week later, I was assigned one.Her name is jessica. My first session was great.I really liked her. But for whatever reason she canceled three times in a row. Then she called me , asked me if I would be related to telepath. I told her that would not work for me. So later that day, I called back and asked For a new therapist. Two weeks have gone by no calls , nothing.. I will no longer be going there. How unfortunate is this when you have someone who's willing to come in and get the help they need? And yet there is no help.No one's willing to call you back.No one's willing to set you up with a new therapist. There is a desperate need for mental health help.So many people like myself need the help. If you are unwilling to help the needed , then maybe you should close down this service.”

“What can I say about Advocates I have been with them since 2003 and I never had any problems with them the therapist and psychiatrist I had in the past and now had been amazing with me no complaints, right now I have an amazing therapist her Name is Sharlene Torres Rodriguez I’m so blessed to have her she’s an amazing therapist and she helps me a lot I would recommend her to my friends or family also Lauren she’s is the nurse practitioner for meds and she is amazing to she makes sure my medication are refilled and she has helped me a lot I would recommended her to my friend’s and family. I would not go any where else for my therapy but Advocates only . Also I never had any problems with any receptionist in Advocates.”
