“*EDIT: After posting this review, for the first time in nearly three years I received some form of a response. I contacted further with the email provided, and to no surprise there was never any follow up. This only makes my experience that much more concerning and it's abundantly clear they do not care in the slightest. Psychology Today is a much better spot to search for actual care* This was truly the worst company all around that I have ever worked with. My initial appointment with Dr. Xu was on 12/6/2023, the assessment was on 2/1/2024, and the follow‑up was on 2/23/2024. The only in‑person appointment was the testing session, during which I sat alone in a completely dark, unlocked lobby for two hours. No staff were present, and I had no explanation for why the building was open and unattended. Despite paying thousands of dollars for this report after reassurance it was covered by insurance, Dr. Xu never sent the report. I called for YEARS to get the written report and did not receive it until 6/22/2026... from a clinical standpoint it is the worst I've seen. This entire process — the unsafe environment, the shortened testing session, the dismissive and inappropriate comments, the failure to provide documentation, and the unexpected billing — was unacceptable and deeply unethical. I've tried reporting this to LifeStance countless times, but wanted to share my experience here so that this does't happen to anyone else.”
“I needed some help with a lifestyle change ( retirement) and as a person in recovery (25 years) my coping skills, patience, and ability to deal with being home a lot more now. I think it’s a bonus that my therapist is younger ( pretty much everyone is!) and can help me see the current state of things (life in general) with a little fresher perspective”
“Good organization. Appointments are easily accommodated. Customer service staff are well trained.”
“Great therapists. However, their billing office is a nightmare. They take weeks (if ever) to respond to messages. If you call them on the phone you wait more than thirty minutes. Sometimes after that wait the call just hangs up on you. They consistently get the insurances processed incorrectly, sometimes not even bothering to file the claim with both insurances in the correct order. Other times they have gone ahead and billed my card on file instead of processing both insurances correctly first (I have no copay due when both are processed correctly), and they won’t refund that money to my card till they fix the other billing mistakes we’ve brought to their attention. So they’re holding my money hostage while they fix their mistakes. And those times where they charged my card did not show up at all anywhere on the bill they sent me. I found it in my checking account statement. They have no explanation for that even as they hold onto my money that they took by accident. There is one guy who does it correctly, but that’s it. The billing dept is a constant nightmare. They are about to adopt a new online system that will also include billing. If these problems persist I will have to stop my therapy.”
